This mostly imaginary diary refers to a high intelligence person that for seemingly incomprehensible reasons decides to join the army. In his attempt to find self cognition, the character approaches -in a naive way- philosophical matters that relate to: war, Christian religion, love, romance and ethics. All these are expressed in his rather unique (cynical, self sarcastic, but sometimes romantic and naive) way of expressing himself. This work contains quite a lot of poetry, of various types and approaches, some of them in an "evolutionary" scale! This is part of the plot! Most of the poems can be classified as classical western poetry. Following the tradition of our ancestors, poetry is used to tell part of the story, so POETRY is an INTEGRAL PART of the diary, which shows the intense battle within the character. It is advisable that; not only you should not skip it, but you should read what is before and what follows carefully as well! Though if you like, you can only read the poems!!!
